Minelab SDC2300 Gold Nuggets Prospecting south of Rapid City SD

Running the SDC2300 from Minelab on one of the Black Hills Prospecting Club claims around Rapid City South Dakota. We did a little detecting and crevicing the shist.

I stepped on a snake that looked just like a Coral Snake, we looked it up and it’s called a Milk Snake- reddish orange, black, and white rings. Scary looking. Cheryl kept yelling at me while I was standing on a tailings pile.

Ended up detecting 3 small gold nuggets. I was unsure if there was detective size gold in the Black Hills, so I am released to have found three. Having places to detect nuggets close to home is awesome. Will give plenty of practice till we get back to the desert.

NOTE: We were prospecting on club or private claims which are not open to prospecting to the public. It is a Federal Offense to be searching for minerals on claimed land and you may be subject to fines or imprisonment. I will not comment as to the location of claims. If you want to know where I am at, I am usually on a club claim, the clubs I belong to are:
